Affiliate Disclosure

quantumtls.dev is free to read and reader-supported. This page discloses how that support works and, more importantly, what it does not affect.

How We're Supported

Some pages on this Site — including guides covering certificate authorities, hosting platforms, and other TLS or PQC infrastructure providers — contain affiliate links. If you click one of these links and go on to make a purchase or sign up with that provider, quantumtls.dev may earn a commission. This comes at no extra cost to you: the price you pay is the same whether you use our link or navigate to the provider directly.

This is a standard, publicly disclosed arrangement, consistent with FTC guidance on affiliate marketing, and it is the primary way this Site is funded. We are disclosing it here clearly, in one place, rather than relying on you to infer it from an outbound link.

Editorial Independence

Our technical analysis is not for sale. The mathematical proofs, protocol explanations, and standards coverage on this Site — including our treatment of lattice cryptography, TLS handshake mechanics, and NIST's PQC standards — are never written or edited to favor an affiliate partner. A provider's affiliate status has no bearing on how we describe the underlying cryptography, and no bearing on our assessment of a protocol's or algorithm's security properties. If our analysis of a technical topic is unflattering to a company we have an affiliate relationship with, that analysis is published as written.

How We Choose What to Recommend

We link to a provider because it genuinely supports secure TLS and post-quantum standards — meaningful things like hybrid key exchange support, sound TLS configuration defaults, or a credible path toward PQC certificate issuance — not because it offers the highest commission. A provider that does not meet that bar is not recommended here, regardless of whether an affiliate program is available. Where a provider's PQC support is still limited or in beta, we say so directly in the guide, rather than presenting it as more mature than it is.

Where This Applies

This disclosure covers every page on quantumtls.dev that contains an affiliate link, including provider comparison tables and deployment guides. It applies whether or not an individual page repeats the disclosure inline. For how affiliate referral tracking technically works once you click through, see our Cookie Policy; for how we handle data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
