This policy describes how quantumtls.dev ("we," "us," "the site") handles information collected from visitors. quantumtls.dev is a statically generated site with no user accounts, no newsletter signup, and no backend database. This policy explains what limited data is still collected as a byproduct of standard web hosting, analytics, and outbound affiliate links.
Information We Collect
Log data. As with any website, our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) automatically records standard connection information for each request — IP address, browser and device type, referring page, requested URL, and timestamp. This is collected as part of ordinary web serving and is not tied to a user account, because no accounts exist on this site.
Analytics. We use a web analytics service (Vercel Analytics and/or Google Analytics) to measure page views, session duration, device and browser type, approximate geographic region derived from IP address, and referral source. This data is aggregated and used to understand traffic patterns, not to identify individual visitors.
Cookies. Vercel Analytics, where used, does not set cookies or persistent identifiers — it reports
aggregated visit counts without tracking individual users across sessions. Google Analytics, where used, does
set cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish sessions and returning visitors. If you have concerns about cookie
use, consult your browser's cookie settings or an ad-blocking/tracking-prevention extension, both of which are
effective against this kind of analytics tracking.
How We Use Your Information
The data described above is used exclusively to:
- Monitor site performance, uptime, and load times.
- Understand which articles and topics are most useful to visitors, to guide future content.
- Diagnose technical issues — broken links, rendering errors, or slow-loading pages.
- Identify aggregate traffic sources (search, referral, direct) at a high level.
We do not sell visitor data, do not build individual visitor profiles, and do not use collected data for our own targeted advertising. We have no mechanism to do so, since no data collected identifies an individual visitor to us.
Third-Party Services & Affiliate Links

Some pages on quantumtls.dev contain affiliate links to third-party providers of PQC-related infrastructure, certificates, or tooling. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to a domain we do not operate and do not control. Any data collection, cookies, or tracking that occurs on or after that click — including affiliate referral tracking used to attribute the visit — is governed entirely by the destination site's own privacy policy, not this one. We recommend reviewing a third-party site's privacy policy before providing it with any personal information.
Data Security
quantumtls.dev is statically generated: there is no backend server processing requests, no database storing visitor or account information, and no login or session system to compromise. This eliminates entire categories of risk that dynamic, database-backed sites carry — there is no user credential store to breach and no server-side input processing pipeline to exploit, because neither exists.
The site is served over HTTPS via Vercel's edge network, consistent with the TLS practices this site itself documents. Because we do not collect or store personally identifiable information, there is no personal data repository on our end for a security incident to expose.
User Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under data protection laws such as the EU/EEA's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) with respect to browsing data collected through analytics — including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of data associated with you, and the right to object to or opt out of analytics tracking.
Because quantumtls.dev does not maintain an identifiable visitor database, we are not able to look up or delete records tied to a specific individual on our end — this data, where it exists, is held by our analytics providers under their own retention and deletion practices. Requests concerning analytics data are best directed to the relevant provider (Google or Vercel) directly, using the mechanisms described in their privacy policies. You can also opt out of analytics tracking at the browser level at any time, via cookie settings, tracking-prevention features, or a Google Analytics opt-out extension.
